Niamh Billings

Niamh has been working in the world of model making since 1986 gaining experience in New York, Ireland, Australia, Jamaica, Berlin and of course London. Over that time she was employed as a freelance model maker by Arup Associates, Unit 22, Niels Thorpe/Rhwl, ABK, Hawarth Tomkins, JMTC, Michael Aukett, Michael Hopkins, NGP and Richard Rogers Sheppard Robson.
After a long period freelancing for other people which even included a period teaching model making at the Jamaican School of Architecture Niamh set-up her own model shop in 1998. After two years this moved to larger premises with an expansion of staff and equipment in E2 where it is now based.

 

Nick Grace

Nick has over 15 years experience, lecturing in both model making design and product and furniture design, as well as 3D and graphic design. In the last 5 years he has taught at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth, Kent Institute of Art & Design and Bournemouth University. Nick has a long track record working with the digital arts, teaching an MA in Computer related design at the Royal College of Art in the early 90’s.
Nick has also worked as a professional advisor to the Foundation degree course at the Chelsea School of Art, on 3D models of stadium proposals for the London Olympics bid and the detail design of an inhabited shop window ‘micro flat’ by Piercy Connor Architects.
